There are many legends connected
In Japanese folklore, this fish living in deep sea is considered a sign of disaster. It is said that the 2011 Fukushima earthquake was seen on the sea shore before the earthquake. Last year, in California, USA, an upfish also came out of the sea, when an earthquake occurred in Los Ageles.
However, scientists do not believe these beliefs. They believe that due to being ill, these fish also come to the surface. It has no relation with omen. This fish lives in deep sea. Sometimes after wandering the way, it comes to the surface, due to which it dies.
