Pakistan 23 Ahmadiyya Community People Arrested in Punjab Province for offering Friday Prayers | 23 Ahmedia Muslims arrested for offering Namaz in Pakistan, police bid

Ahmadi Community People Arrated in Pakistan: In Pakistan’s Punjab province, 23 people of the minority Ahmedia community were arrested. These people have been arrested for offering ‘Friday prayers’, which is legally banned for them in Pakistan.

In fact, the police was called and told that 27 people of Ahmadiyya community were offering prayers of Jumma (Friday) at the place of praying in Daska in Sialkot, which is about 100 km from Lahore.

Police officer gave information about the case

Police officer Mohammad Tanjil told the news agency PTI, “Arshad Sahi, a prayer of Ahmedia community, was preaching on Friday (28 February) and was reading verses related to Islam and the Ahmadi communities present on the spot were listening to him.”

The police officer said, “Because it hurt the sentiments of local Muslims, the police registered an FIR against 27 Ahmadi people under Section 298C of Pakistan Penal Code and 23 people have been arrested.”

He further stated that under Section 298C of the Pakistan Pinal Code, those Ahmadiyas are considered criminals, who are called themselves Muslims, who were declared non-Muslims by the Parliament of Pakistan in 1974. However, after a decade after that, not only those people were banned from calling themselves Muslims, but it was also stopped from accepting any custom of Islam.

Jap Criticized action against people of Ahmadi community

Jamaat-e-Ahdiya Pakistan (JAP) strongly criticized the police action against innocent Ahmadi men and children. He said, “A Group of Ahmadiyas gathered at a private place in Daska for prayer under Rutin. Shortly thereafter a group of religious extremists gathered out and started shouting slogans.”

Behind action on Ahmadiya TLP Hand of

According to the PTI report, the fundamentalist Islamic party Tehreek-e-Labback Pakistan (TLP) was behind the police action against the Ahmadiyya community. The Ahmadiyya community also reached the police for this action. However, instead of giving them security, the police arrested 23 Ahmedia and sent them to the city police station of Daska. It also included many children aged 11 and 14.

Subsequently, JAP said that religious extremists gathered outside the police station and raised slogans and demanded to register cases against the detained people. The police came under his pressure and registered a case. After this, all the 23 Ahmadi people were presented before the magistrate, who sent Sialkot Central Jail on all those judicial remand.
