Donald Trump Action Pakistan May Be Placed in Orange Category Under New Us Travel Restrictions

Pakistan-Ass: The Donald Trump administration is preparing to ban Pakistanis in the US. Pakistan can be placed in the Orange category in the upcoming US travel ban list. This ban is based on a government review of the security and risks of countries. It is being told that countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Lebanon are likely to be banned. Apart from this, Libya, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen are also in danger of being included in the banned list.

Visa application rules will change

According to a report by The New York Times, Pakistani citizens will not have to face a complete ban on American travel, but they may have to face a tough investigation while applying for the US visa. Specific types of visas can be banned for Pakistani citizens, which will allow only business related travels under the new category. It indicates changes in American immigration and travel policies, which can affect thousands of Pakistanis.

Pakistan’s reaction on new travel ban

The duration of these visas can also be reduced and those applying for it will be required to appear in the interview. On the question placed in the Orange category of Pakistan, Pakistan’s US Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said, “This is currently based on news reports. Nothing is yet official. We are still waiting for confirmation.” However, some Pakistani students studying in America have been allegedly asked not to return home.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) had last week warned people from about 12 countries, including Pakistanis, to avoid visit to America until the administration announces a new travel ban. The US State Department says that the passengers coming to the US should not pose a threat to national security.
