Earthquake in tajikistan: Earthquake tremors were felt in Tajikistan on Tuesday (22 April 2025). According to the National Center for Sisamology (NCS), the intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 4.1 on the Richter scale. Earlier on Monday, earthquake tremors were felt three times in the same area. Tajikistan is a mountainous country, which is more sensitive to climate hazards. There is a high risk of earthquake, flood, drought, avalanche, landslides in this region. In Tibet too, today i.e. on 22 April, an earthquake of 4.0 magnitude occurred.

According to the NCS, the center of the earthquake was 10 km deep from the ground. The region had an earthquake on Saturday (19 April 2025) with a magnitude of 4.2. A 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Afghanistan at 12:17 pm on Saturday afternoon. The National Earthquake Science Center (NCS) confirmed the earthquake on the social media platform X. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 130 km at 36.10 degrees northern latitude and 71.20 degree Eastern longitude.
Earthquake tremors recorded several times in Myanmar
Last week, a light earthquake of 2.4 magnitude occurred on the Richter scale in Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir. More than 450 shocks were recorded in Myanmar and surrounding areas after a powerful earthquake of 7.7 magnitude on March 28. According to a report by the earthquake observation division of the Thai Meteorological Department, 184 shocks between 1.0 and 2.9, 198 shocks between 3.0 and 3.9, 73 shocks between 4.0 and 4.9, 13 shocks between 5.0 and 5.9. A total of 21 mild tremors were felt mainly in Mai Hong Son Province in Thailand, with intensity between 1.0 and 5.9.
According to Myanmar’s State Administration Council Information Team, 3,689 people lost their lives in the devastating earthquake in the country till Friday, 5,020 people were injured, 139 others are missing. The United Nations and its colleagues launched a $ 275 million appeal to support Myanmar after a devastating earthquake.
