Amid threats by Pakistan Army Chief General Aseem Munir and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhatto, Islamabad has again been begged to India for water. Pakistan has appealed India to restore the Indus Water Treaty. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has fully implemented the Indus Water Treaty and welcomed the Exitation of the Court of Arbitration. However, India has never recognized the permanent arbitration court and rejected its proceedings.
Pakistan begged in front of India for water
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry posted on X and said, “We appeal to India to immediately restore the normal functioning of the Indus Water Treaty. India fully and honestly fulfill the obligations of this treaty. We welcome the verdict of the court on 8 August 2025 on the General Examination of the Sindhu Water Treaty (IWT), which has been released on the court website on 8 August 2025.”
This decision clarifies the design standards of the new run-off-the-Indri Hydroelectric power project to be made by India on Western rivers Chenab, Jhelum and Indus. In this decision, the court said that India should allow the water of western rivers to reach Pakistan without any restriction. Apart from this, the rules of the treaty should also be strictly followed in cases of hydropower project. According to India, making such a court is a big violation of the Indus Water Treaty.
Bilawal Bhutto and Asim Munir’s jackal
Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto gave India a jackal of war on the Indus Water Treaty on Monday. He said that if India postpones this treaty and builds a dam, then there will be war against India. He said, “We have to raise our voice against Modi, so that we can stop the oppression that is happening on us. For this we need the people of Pakistan.”
At the same time, Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir, who went on a US tour, threatened India for nuclear war during an event there. Referring to the Indus Water Treaty, Asim Munir said, “We are a nuclear country.” If Islamabad feels the danger of existence from India, then he will drown half the world with him.
‘Pakistan’s old habit threatening nuclear weapons’
On Monday, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said on Asim Munir’s statement, “Threatening nuclear weapons has been the old habit of Pakistan. Such irresponsible statements force the international community to question the credibility of Pakistan’s nuclear command and control. It is regrettable that these comments have been made from a friendly country (America). Will keep taking steps. “
