If this situation continues, then Tuvalu can reach the verge of completely extinction. This country is located between Australia and Hawaii.

United Nations prediction- population will continue to grow
In 2011, the total population of the world was 7 billion. Within just 14 years this number increased by one billion. The United Nations estimates that this number will increase continuously in the coming years. According to the United Nations report, by 2030 the world’s population will reach 8.6 billion. Then by 2050 this figure can be 9.8 billion. The world’s population is expected to reach 11.2 billion by the year 2100.

Ukraine, Japan, Greece: Countries with a decreasing population
There are some countries in the world, whose population is clearly seen.
Ukraine recorded a drastic decline of 8.10 percent in only one year between 2002 and 2023. The main reason behind this decline is the ongoing war in the country, in which thousands of people lost their lives and a large number of citizens migrated to other countries.

The population of Japan has also decreased by 0.50 percent. However, the situation here is somewhat different. While migration and war cause war in other countries, only less birthday in Japan is the reason for the decrease in population. This is the reason that in a year itself, the population here has fallen by more than 8 percent.

Japan is different from other countries. There is neither war nor a major problem of migration here. Despite this, the population here is declining every year. The reason is – the lifestyle and thinking of the people there. The youth is not excited about getting married and having children. Even after giving all the facilities and encouragement by the government, there has been no significant change in the situation.

If we talk about continents, then Europe is the only continent where the population is continuously decreasing. On the other hand, the population of Asia is increasing rapidly.

According to the United Nations, the current population of Greece is about 10 million (one crore), but by the year 2100 it can be reduced to 9 million (90 lakh). Similarly, countries like Russia, Italy and South Korea are also under threat of declining population. If these countries do not take concrete steps for population stability, then economic and social challenges may be faced in future.
