Pakistan Bomb Blast Before Ramadan 2025 in Jamia Haqqania Seminary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5 Killed

Pakistan bomb blast: On Friday (28 February 2025) before the holy month of Ramadan, there was an explosion at a mosque in pro-Taliban in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of North-Western Pakistan. Five people were killed and several others were injured in the bomb blast in Jamia Hakkania madrasa.

Emergency imposed in the area

According to a report by the news agency Associated Press, District Police Chief Abdul Rashid said that the blast took place in Akkora Khattak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He told that the officers are investigating this and at the same time the injured are being taken to the hospital. So far no organization has taken responsibility for this attack. The explosion occurred during the prayer of Juma in the main hall of the madrasa. According to Dawn’s report, the officials have announced the emergency in this area.

Police described suicide blast

There are about 4,000 students in the premises where this explosion occurred within the Jamia Hakkania madrasa, who are given free food and education. According to the report of Pakistani Sama TV, KP IG Zulfikar Hameed said that according to preliminary investigation, it seems to be a suicide explosion. He said that it seems that Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani was on target.

Pakistan government condemns the incident

Government of Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, Government of Pakistan, posted on X and condemned the incident. He said, “The enemy country is plotting to create instability in Pakistan. We will thwart every conspiracy of the enemy. We are standing with the family of the dead.” He prayed for the health of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani and other injured as soon as possible.

Regarding the bomb blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan’s PM Shahbaz Sharif said that such cowardly work cannot weaken our resolve against terrorism. He said that we are committed to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
