Pakistan Peshawar Ban Toy Gun: In view of the deteriorating law and order in the city of Peshawar in Pakistan, the local administration has imposed a complete ban on toy guns and firecrackers. This step has been taken after death in the bomb blast of Mufti Munir Shakir in the mosque a day earlier.
Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Salim Akram issued a notification, saying that the ban on toy guns and firecrackers will be implemented under CRPC Section 144. According to the order, this ban has been imposed to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during Eid ul Fitr 2025. This will prevent the terrorist tendency from promoting. The purpose of this ban is also to protect both traders and officials from any inconvenience.
Strict action instructions
The Deputy Commissioner said that strict action will be taken against those selling the toy guns and this order will be applicable with immediate effect, which will remain in force for 30 days. Legal action will be taken under Section 188 on any violation.
Mufti Shakir dies: bomb blast case
The ban was decided when Mufti Munir Shakir, who was the founder of the banned Lashkar-e-Islam, died in a bomb blast outside a mosque in Urmar area of Peshawar. The bombings occurred when Mufti Shakir was entering the mosque for the prayer of Asra. Three other people were injured in the blast, who were taken to Lady Reading Hospital.
Administration response
After this incident, the local administration decided to ban toy guns and firecrackers to maintain peace and prevent any type of terrorist activities from promoting.
