Death of a passanger in qatar airways flight: Qatar Airways has defended the decision to sit next to the body of a dead passenger during a 14 -hour journey. Airways said the crew members present in the aircraft acted in the case immediately, correct and professional. In a statement to the BBC, Qatar Airways said, “An internal review found that the case of the death of a female passenger during the journey was correct by the crew members according to their training and industry standards.” Apart from this, the airline further said that they have announced support and compensation to the family of the deceased traveler and other passengers directly affected by the incident.

Qatar Airways said in a statement to the BBC, “After this incident in the flight, all the passengers were seated on the other seats and a crew remained sitting next to the dead passenger until the flight was landed in Doha.” The statement further said, “It is a very unfortunate truth that a passenger dies during the flight in the entire aviation industry. In such a situation, our crew members are given full training to handle such situations with full respect. ”
Airways issued a statement after passenger couple’s allegations
It is noteworthy that this statement was released by Qatar Airways when a passenger couple told Channel 9 of Australia that they were shocked by this experience during the flight from Melbourne to Doha. Passenger Couple Michelle Ring and Jennifer Colin told the channel that during the last 4 hours of the 14 -hour journey, the cabin crew covered the body of the deceased woman with a blanket and placed it next to the Mr. Ring.
Talking to the channel, Mitchell Ring told that the crew members of the aircraft told him to give some space and after that he made the body of the woman on the same seat on which he was sitting. He said that another passenger asked his wife to sit next to him. However, he said that despite the vacancy of several seats in the aircraft, the staff of the plane did not ask him to sit on any other seat.
Jennifer Colin said, “We fully understand that we cannot claim the airline responsible for the death of the woman, but after such an incident there should be a protocol for focus on other passengers present in the plane.”
