Pakistan Train Hijack News Police Denied Bla Claim 182 Hostage Says 350 Passengers Safe Deployed Special Force

Pakistan train hijack: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan hijacked the Zafar Express train on Tuesday (March 11, 2025). The BLA claimed that it had held more than 180 passengers hostage. The police have rejected this BLA claim and said that separatists have caught 35 passengers and about 350 are safe. This group today derailed the train by putting a bomb in the southwest area and hijackers.

According to news agency Reuters, a senior police officer Rana Dilawar said, “About 350 passengers including women and children have been saved and a relief train will reach the area where the train was attacked.” The separatist organization Baloch Liberation Army threatened that if the security forces do not move from that area, they would kill the hostages. When the attack took place, the train was passing through a tunnel in the mountainous area. The driver of the train was badly injured in this attack.

Security Force launched operation

Security forces have started a campaign regarding the attack. Helicopters and special forces have been deployed. Security forces said that the sound of an explosion has been heard near the tunnel and their encounter with the attackers is going on in the mountainous region. The BLA, demanding independence of the Balochistan province bordering Afghanistan and Iran, has said that it has killed 20 soldiers. Pakistani officials have not yet confirmed this claim.
