He said that this attack caused a fire in the airspace and the residents of the surrounding had to be removed from there.
Russia’s nuclear bomber aircraft is unable to fly
The Tupolev TU 160 Nuclear Bomber Aircraft has been deployed on this airbase. The TU-160 is Russia’s most modern nuclear bomber aircraft. Russia has also bombed many of Ukraine locations with the help of this aircraft. Now the airbase has become dysfunctional due to this attack, due to which the TU-160 flights are not being filled.
Ukraine also attacked Angles Air Base in December 2022. In January, Ukraine claimed that it had attacked an oil depot at Engels Air Base, causing a fierce fire there, it took five days to extinguish it. Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky spoke over the phone on Wednesday (19 March 2025). Earlier, he had alleged that Russia attacked Ukraine even after accepting the offer on each other’s energy infrastructure for 30 days.
