Amid the war with Israel, Pakistan is preparing to supply a ballistic missile of medium range to Iran. Intelligence sources have informed that if the war between Israel and Iran increases more then Pakistan will supply weapons to Iran. Earlier, an Iranian Senior Army official claimed that Pakistan has told him that if Israel attacks Iran, Pakistan will also attack Israel. However, Pakistani Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has denied these claims.
CNN-News 18 quoted top intelligence sources as saying that if the battle between Israel and Iran increases more, it would give Iran Shaheen-3 missiles. Shaheen-3 is a medium range missile, which has a firepower of 2,750 km. Sources said that Pakistan is helping so much so that Iran will support it against India.
Sources said that there is also strong evidence of increasing military cooperation in Pakistan and Iran and sending Shaheen-3 ballistic missiles. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has repeatedly supported Iran and said, “We are standing with Iran in every way.”
Shahbaz Sharif also said that he will raise his voice for Iran on the United Nations and other international forums and will talk about its interest. Sources said that Shahbaz Sharif also reiterated this stance in a conversation with the Iranian President and condemned the Israeli attacks. He has also supported the right to self-defense for Iran under Article-51 of the United Nations Charter.
Pakistan also called upon OC countries to call an immediate meeting, so that it could unite Muslim countries against Israel and it urged the countries having diplomatic relations with Israel to end the relationship immediately. Sources say that Pakistan did this intentionally to promote Muslim unity.
Sources say that Pakistan’s aim behind helping Iran can be supported against India. He feels that India can remove resources from the western border in view of Pakistan’s close ties with Iran.
