Tariff war: Ever since the US President Donald Trump announced the reciperook tariff, there was a ruckus in all the countries of the world. Meanwhile, Trump has made a big announcement on the tariff on Wednesday (9 April 2025). He has given great relief to more than 75 countries except China. Trump has also announced to impose 125 percent tariffs on imported goods from China with immediate effect.
Tariff on China increased to 125%
US President Donald Trump posted on his social media playform Truth and said that China did not show respect for the world markets, due to which the US is increasing 104 percent of tariffs on China to 125 per cent, which will be applicable with immediate effect. Posting on the social media platform Truth, Trump said that China will now realize that America cannot run any more time of looting other countries.
Trump gave relief to more than 75 countries
Donald Trump has also announced a discount of 90 days tariffs for more than 75 countries of the world. Trump said that these countries have started negotiations on issues such as trade and currency manipulation from the US Department of Commerce, Treasury and USTR. A recipe of only 10 percent will be imposed on business with these countries for the next 90 days.
China imposed 84% tariff
The US had imposed a 104 per cent tariff on China a day earlier (8 April 2025), which China also responded in the same tone. China also announced an 84 percent tariff on the US on Wednesday (April 9). The Chinese Finance Ministry has said that these additional tariffs will apply to American goods from April 10. The Commerce Ministry of China has also replied to the US and put 12 American institutions in its export control list.
