What superhero fatigue?
Twice a month, a comic book film has reached the top of the box office, debuting ticket sales with more than $ 100 million.
Two weeks ago, it was “Superman”, the first dramatic release as the co-head of DC Studio from James Gun and Peter Safran. Warner Brothers Discovery. this weekend, Disney And Marvel’s “Fantastic Four: First Steps” promoted an estimated $ 118 million in ticket sales in theaters during its first three days.

Internationally, “Fantastic Four: First Steps” snatched the estimated $ 100 million, leading to its global weekend to $ 218 million.
Sean Robins, director of Analytics and founder of box office theory at Fandango, said, “Marvel Bet Big has released his long -awaited introduction of his long -awaited Fantastic Four as the final MCU film to hit theaters for at least one more year, and is paying.” “The franchise has had its own part of Hichki in recent years, but Marvel’s first family is winning over fans and increasing the kind of enthusiasm that can bring back the casual audiences who were sitting out of the chapter of some post -dadgam.”
Marvel has struggled in view of the record-breaking “Avengers: Endege”, which is the culmination of storytelling more than a decade. While films like “Deadpool and Wolverin” and “Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3” attract those who filming in theaters, others like “Captain America: Brave New World,” The Marvels “and” Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania “failed to drum the same enthusiasm.
The box office halls studio is not only a hit-or-mise. Marvel films have experienced significant ups and downs since the release of the 2019 “Endgeam”. Earlier, any MCU film did not have a rotten tomato score below 67%, meaning that each each earned the title of “fresh”, showing that critics had generally positive attitude of the film.
Since then, five franchise films have been below that metric and three of them were considered “rotten”, which was reduced by less than 50% of positive reviews.
This year, “Captain America: Brave New World” performed a long performance of $ 413 million globally and earned a 48% rating on rotten tomatoes. But “Thunderbolts*” produced just $ 382 million globally – one of only five titles under the Marvel Cinematic Universe Banner to tally tally less than $ 400 million worldwide – it achieved 88% “fresh” ratings.
Its latest dramatic entry, “Fantastic Four: First Steps”, also has 88% “fresh” rating from the site.
“For Disney, this is actually a magical heat and a re -confirmation for Marvel that his strategy to recreate the brand is definitely working,” said Dergrabedian. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ ‘Thunderbolts*’ following the footsteps of Marvel is showing that it is a recipe for success to pay attention to quality rather than quantity.”
