Indian Student Ranjini Srinivasan Accused Columbia University of Cheating Now Self Deported to Canada

Ranjini Srinivasan on Columbia University: After supporting Hamas, Indian PhD student Ranjani Srinivasan, who is self -submitted from the US, alleged that Columbia University had cheated her. She moved to Canada after the US visa was canceled from the US. He has been accused of being a supporter and sympathetic of Hamas.

‘Hope Colombia will be aware’

Talking to news channel Al Jazeera, Ranjani Srinivasan accused Colombia University of not taking admission. He said, “I spent five years in Columbia University, worked. Sometimes even worked about 100 hours a week. I did not expect the institute to disappoint me, but it happened. I hope Columbia will be conscious and he would re-enroll me.”

Ranjani Srinivasan hopes for justice

Ranjani Srinivasan has expressed hope of fairness and justice from Columbia University. He said, “All the requirements for my PhD have been fulfilled and whatever is left I do not even need to live in America. I want Columbia to listen to my appeal.” Ranjani Srinivasan, a doctoral student at Columbia University, said that on 5 March 2025, he received an email from the US embassy in Chennai for the first time, stating that his student visa was canceled.

Fear of being arrested in America

Ranjani Srinivasan said that she was trying to contact the university officials, when the Ice (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent came to her door. Srinivasan said that he was afraid of being arrested in the US as US Home Safety Secretary Christie NoM posted on X and accused him of being a pro -terrorism.

No comments have been made by Columbia University on this incident yet. The US government has called him a pro -terrorism, but did not publicly shared any evidence of his involvement. Ranjani Srinivasan is currently in Canada.
