Pakistan Criticies India Decision to Ban Jammu and Kashmir Separatist Groups

Aac and jkim ban: The Government of India has declared two separatist organizations in Jammu and Kashmir – Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) (Maulvi Mirwaiz Umar Farooq) and Jammu and Kashmir Itihadul Muslimeen (JKIM) as “illegal organization” for five years. Pakistan erupted with this decision and has reacted sharply against India.

The Government of India has imposed this ban in Kashmir to do separatist activities and maintain national integrity. The Ministry of Home Affairs described the danger for national security, sovereignty and integrity behind the ban.

Pakistan condemns India’s decision
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry issued a statement calling India’s decision “violation of democratic values ​​and human rights”. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said, “AAC is headed by Kashmir’s leading religious leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. JKIM was founded by Maulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari, who was its head till 2022. It is a strategy from India to suppress political activities in Kashmir.”

United Nations Security Council reiterated again
Referring to the proposals of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in its statement, Pakistan said, “India should lift a ban on Kashmiri political parties and implement UNSC proposals. However, India has already made it clear that Kashmir is an integral part of India and there is no scope for the intervention of the United Nations or any other country.

Why did India ban?
