On 5 August 2024, Sheikh Hasina had to resign from the post of Prime Minister due to the student movement in Bangladesh. After this, he took refuge in India, since then he is here. The Mohammad Yunus government has also written a letter to India regarding the extradition of Sheikh Hasina. This is the first time after this change in Bangladesh when PM Modi and Mohammad Yunus have met.
