China organ donation: The ‘Jeevan, Asha – 2025 National Human Ang Daan Sansarotsav and Promotion Ceremony’ was recently organized at the Hefing Complex of Wolong Cemetery in Sheenang city of China and China Medical University. This program highlighted the importance of human organ donation in society and its human aspects.
It was told in this event that the number of voluntary organ donation registration in China has exceeded 70.5 lakhs. So far, after the death of citizens, more than 58 thousand organs, 63 thousand bodies and 1.1 lakh cornea have been donated. Due to these efforts, the lives of 1.7 lakh patients suffering from organ failure have been saved and 1 lakh people have received a gift of vision. These figures reflect the positive effects of organ donation and the deep impression on its society.
Monument site made in memory of human organ donors
More than 280 monuments have been built in memory of human organ donors across the country. These monuments inspire the society to explain the dignity of charity and accept it. In addition, during the Chingaming Festival each year, local red cross societies organize various monumental activities to promote the culture of donation.
