France Knife Attack: One person was killed and three people were injured in a knife attack during a demonstration on Saturday (February 22) in the city of Mulhouse, France, including two policemen. French President Emmanuel Macron has termed this attack as an Islamic terrorist act. This incident is a new incident related to recent terrorism attacks in France.
According to ‘The Associate Press’, the attack took place when there was a demonstration in support of the Congo in the Mulhouse. French prosecutor Nicolas Hetez said that the attacker attacked Allahu-Akbar with a knife. The 37 -year -old suspected terrorist was in the Monitoring List (FSPRT). The FSPRT list was created in 2015 after the attacks on Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish Supermarket. Its purpose is to monitor those people who are expected to be involved in radical activities.
The attacker got orders for expulsion from France
Born in Algeria, this suspect was kept under judicial supervision and received an order from France. After the incident, the police immediately created a security cordon and took the situation under control. Prosecutor Hetez said that a police officer was seriously hurt in the neck artery (carotid artery), while the other has wounds in the chest.
French agency confirms terrorist attack
French National Anti -Terrorism Prosecutor Unit (PNAT) has taken an investigation into this attack. Malhouse Mayor Michelle Lutz termed the incident as scary and said that now only after investigation, the incident will be officially confirmed to be a terrorist act.
