United Airlines Passengers again faced a delay of hours on Friday Air traffic controller Staffing issues disrupted more flights on the carrier hub at New Jersey Newark Liberty International Airport.
According to flight-tracking site flightware, more than 1,300 other delays and cancellations earlier this week, more than 200 flights were delayed in the afternoon and outside on Friday. United said on Thursday that FAA Technology Outage, Runway Construction and High Winds abandoned the disruption, forcing it to turn at least 21 flights.
The FAA advisor said that the staffing was a problem on Friday. The agency did not comment immediately.
Newark is one of the most congested airports in the country, and United CEO Scott Kirby has repeatedly complained about lack of air traffic controllers.

Transport Department presented on Thursday New slate Incentives to help reduce the lack of air traffic controllers, a problem that has been persisted over the years and has deteriorated during training during Kovid.
United said that it would waive a change fee or fare difference for customers affected by Newark disruptions.
