‘Shivraj Singh Chauhan spoke amidst the tariff threats of Trump

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has given a big statement amid the announcement of US President Donald Trump to impose heavy tariffs on India. He said that neither India is afraid of challenges, nor is afraid of someone’s grandfather nor comes under pressure, but talks with eyes in the eyes. Shivraj attended the ‘Employees Resolution Conference’ in Pusa in Delhi on Thursday (August 21, 2025), where he said this.

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan stressed the need for self -sufficiency and made it clear that the national interest and farmers’ interests are paramount for the Modi government, so that no compromise will be made. He said that the Agriculture Department had put its point in this regard before the Prime Minister, so that the interests of the farmers should be safe.

Referring to Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Swadeshi Apna Chao Call’, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the people of the country get employment and the economy is strengthened by Swadeshi. Shivraj also said without naming anyone, ‘Why should we be afraid of someone’s grandfather, we do not have to come under pressure from anyone. If we start using 144 crore Indians Swadeshi, then there is no bigger market than India in the world.

He said, ‘We are completely standing with the Prime Minister. Self -sufficiency is very important. India is not afraid of challenges. This is today’s India who talks with eyes in the eyes, no one compromises with the national interest. We talk about Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. He insisted, ‘Our work is of nation building, work with the spirit that it is also my brick to create a self -sufficient India. We will all meet the goals given to us by the Prime Minister. US President Donald Trump has doubled the fees on Indian goods to 50 percent, including 25 percent additional fees on purchasing crude oil from Russia.
