Indian Army has trained “Arjun” (Kite) to prey enemy drones and it was shown in Action during the 18th edition of “Yudh Abhyas” Exercise at Auli, Uttarakhand.
Soldiers of Indian Army and US Army are participating in a Joint Military exercise named “Yudh Abhyas” at Auli, Uttarakhand. In the recent days we have seen some surprising incidents.
Recently we have seen the US Military has promoted Four it’s Officers in the Himalayas during “Yudh Abhyas” Exercise. The Official Twitter handle of US Army Pacific had given this information about the promotion of Officers in the full view of Nanda Devi.

Following the wave Indian Army too gave a surprise to the world by Showing the Drone Hunter “Arjun” in action.
What is “Arjun” And How it works?
Arjun is the name of Kite that Indian Army has trained to prey the enemy drones. Indian Army presented and showed it in action during the Yudh Abhyas Military exercise. The Indian Army explained it’s work through a Mock Drill that how “Arjun” will Act against the Drones. It is a Coordinated Operation between the Dog and the kite that was shown. In this a situation was created in which the Indian Army used a Kite and Dog for identifying location and destroy them. It will work in a manner that Dogs will be used to alert the Army about drones after hearing it’s sound, after that the trained Kite “Arjun” will find out the location and identify it and then it will bring down the drone.
What is Yudh Abhyas?
Yudh Abhyas is a Joint Military exercise between Indian Army and US Army. Started in 2004 it is moving with it’s 18th edition. The objective of the exercise includes the practice and exchange of Combat skills and techniques. Also use of Combal technologies for countering further challenges etc.
Conclusion:
In the past few years we have seen multiple incidents where Pakistani Drones entered inside Indian territory illegally for dropping Drugs, Money, Arms and Ammunition. Many of these drones were shot down by the Border Security Force on the Punjab and Jammu Border. The Official unveiling of the Technique for shooting the Drones through trained Kites during the Yudh Abhyas Exercise. It is India’s first of it’s kind and very unique techniques to counter enemy drones. This move will provide an upperhand to the Indian Security Forces in Countering the illegal Drone Activities across border and helps in securing the Indian Borders.
